I changed the formula for surprise attack from 2.5 to 3 because 1) I'm pretty sure that reflects the actual ability 2) The value listed in the table was calculated from 3 (2.5* 35*0.2 = 17.5 not 21) --Orfintain

Guardian Blade (Level 29) as highest max damage weapon

Under the "How much STR/DEX/INT do I need to maximise my damage bonus?" section, I believe the Guardian Blade (Level 29) has the highest max damage of 99, but I'm a little hesitant to change the table values since they were generated back when Mage/Rogue damages were listed as 1/2 values, and also if Mages and Rogues can use a Sword/Axe/Mace for their calculation in the first place. --Jknight05

Possible Error?

I don't know if I am right, but I think that there may be an error.

For the STR/DEX/INT modificator, you say that 2 stat points increase the damage of 1 but can't go any further than 20% of the Maximum Damage. But in the official DF forum link that I put below, another source tells that it is 20% for the min. damage and 20% for the maximum damage

ex. from your source: A sword does 20-40 dmg. with 16+ str, it will go like 28-48

ex. from the forum source: A sword does 20-40 dmg. with 16+ str, it will go like 24-48

Another error

I changed the Calculation Example slightly. It originally said:

"You are using a weapon dealing 5 - 20 damage and your STR/DEX/INT is 12. Your base Melee damage bonus is +6, but the weapon cap is 20% x max damage = +5. Therefore, when you wield this weapon, it deals 10 - 25 damage."

20% of 20 is 4 (rather than 5), so I think this should say:

"You are using a weapon dealing 5 - 20 damage and your STR/DEX/INT is 12. Your base Melee damage bonus is +6, but the weapon cap is 20% x max damage = +4. Therefore, when you wield this weapon, it deals 9 - 24 damage." Sarahmkm

I think the stat trainer in falconreach reach has moved and this page may need to be updated

Maximum Training

I don't think there is a maximum level for your stats anymore. My current lvl 17 mage has 65 Int. Also, you get 5 points per level instead of 3.

Also: Adding Wisdom and calculating it's effects and changing Range to Pierce.
