War

Wars are event in Dragonfable usually having everyone fight a 'wave' of enemies in order to win. After a certain amount of waves are defeated there will usually be a boss or cut scene at the end.

Enemy Waves

A wave has a number of monsters (usually scaled) generally ranging from just one monster to five monsters. When there is only one monster in a wave, you will fight an enemy with more HP then the normal monsters encountered in the war.

Catapult

Many wars now include a special extra mission. You control a catapult and try to hit 5 moving enemies on a field. AFter launching, it will land and show a brief explosion cutscene and tell you that you your the amount of enemies left or tell you you missed. You may receive a defender's medal for every wave defeated, or aboslutely nothing.

Note: In 'race for the Judgement Wheel' war, you received a rune from the ChaosWeavers for defending them against.. your fellow heros?! Anyway, you may also receive 'First Class' which can be sold for 300 gold.

Fighting Bosses

At the end of each war, a boss can be appear. After beating it, you might unlock a cutscene, 'war end' shop or a new part of a quest chain. If Defender's Medals or any other stackable item gained throughout the war, it will usually mean there will be a'war end' shop to trade these in for weapons, armor, or pets. End of War Now What?

Ok, you've beaten several waves, won the war with everyone, defeated the boss, now what? You may unlock the next part of a quest chain (Necropolis, Ravenloss, and several others have this) to complete. You might unlock a cutscene ending a whole quest chain (Fire War) you may just unlock a shop full of goodies to buy that are 1)FREE 2)traded with wave drops or 3)bought with gold. You might just unlock a cutscene as the only thing.
