Nightarrow, to create a weapon page you need to use Template:Weapon and complete all the required items.

The easiest way is to copy a similar weapon by editing, highlighting the wiki coding and copying it but not saving the article. Then paste the wiki coding into your new page and edit the relevant sections.

I'm new to Dragon Fable (1 week's playing) but I'm quite experienced at wiki editing, so if you've got any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page.

Also, if you want to try new things without ruining wiki pages that are already there, you can create a Sandbox page, such as User:Nightarrow/Sandbox and try out any new editing techniques there before using them on the real thing.

Hope this helps you become an even more helpful member of the wiki! :D --Actreal 07:46, 3 November 2006 (CST)

Communication between editors

Leaving a message on another editors talk page is the standard method of conversing between Wiki editors - even if they're both online at the time.

If you have a topic to discuss between more than two editors, you can either use the Talk page of the particular article you're talking about or some wikis have a Community Portal where general wiki topics are discussed (although this wiki doesn't as yet).

If you'd like to set up an IRC channel, then go ahead. I'm not a big fan personally, but I'm happy to drop by occasionally. Alternatively, is there some other DF channel we could use to also talk DF wiki stuff? --Actreal 16:55, 5 November 2006 (CST)

Talk pages aren't all bad. If you're in different time zones it can be hard to meet up live on IRC. I'm in Australia BTW.

I tried the IRC channel and got it to work, but I think you've logged off for the night? --Actreal 18:32, 5 November 2006 (CST)

How to use delete template

Nightarrow, to request a page for deletion, you don't need to copy all that wiki code.

You can just type:

{{delete|why=Duplicate content, correct content at [[Young Tuskmonger (Scaled Level)}}

and the delete template will do the rest.

Note that I had to use nowiki codes to show that text without it being a real request for deletion.

Hope this helps. :) --Actreal 04:53, 6 November 2006 (CST)
